KILNWOOD VALE

Kilnwood Vale is a multi-phase residential development located in Faygate, West Sussex, delivered by POW Architects in collaboration with Crest Nicholson. The project comprises more than 500 homes across six phases, forming part of a long-term framework agreement that emphasises design consistency, build quality, and collaboration between architect and developer.

While employed at POW Architects, I worked as an architectural assistant within the project team, contributing to the preparation of working drawings, technical coordination, and detailed construction documentation. My role involved translating design intent into buildable information and ensuring that technical solutions aligned with the overall architectural vision.

The scale and phased nature of the project provided valuable exposure to the construction process, allowing for continued learning through site visits, benchmarking, and coordination across multiple stages of delivery. This experience strengthened my understanding of residential design, technical detailing, and the collaborative processes that underpin large housing developments.
